LPS22HB
Ultra-compact absolute pressure sensor with 260 to 1260 hPa range and 24-bit output in a 2 x 2 mm package.
The LPS22HB is an STMicroelectronics ultra-compact piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor that functions as a digital barometer, covering 260 to 1260 hectopascals with 24-bit pressure output and 16-bit temperature output over I2C or SPI. Its current consumption is as low as 3 microamps, and it is supplied in a 2 by 2 millimetre holed LGA package that measures just 0.76 millimetres high, which makes it small enough for portable and wearable products. The sensor includes embedded temperature compensation and a FIFO buffer, and it offers output data rates from 1 to 75 hertz with interrupt functions such as data-ready and pressure thresholds. Those features suit altimeters, weather stations, drones and indoor navigation, where the sensor measures altitude or barometric pressure while consuming very little power. Because it connects over standard interfaces and is supported by the STM32Cube ecosystem, it integrates quickly with an STM32 host. Every device is factory-traceable and ships with an import declaration, a certificate of origin and RoHS documentation. FAE Professional Review
This pressure sensor is the smallest practical choice when a product needs altitude or barometric measurement in a tight space. The 24-bit output gives fine resolution for altitude, and the 3 microamp current makes continuous operation realistic in a wearable. Use the embedded compensation rather than calibrating in software, and configure the output data rate to match the altitude resolution you need.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can I measure with a pressure sensor?
Absolute pressure and, through it, altitude and barometric trends, which supports altimeters, indoor navigation, drones and weather stations.
The 24-bit output gives fine altitude resolution.
Does it need external calibration?
The device is factory-calibrated and includes embedded temperature compensation, so little or no external calibration is needed beyond the recommended one-point calibration after soldering.
Follow the datasheet procedure for best accuracy.
